If you are interested in human rights, you may be interested in John Humphrey Center's Human Rights Cafés. A café is where a group of people get together to talk about something interesting. There may be one speaker who leads discussions or who makes a presentation, and then everyone just talks... usually while enjoying a nice hot coffee!!
The days and topics for the John Humphrey Center's Human Rights Cafés are:
Sunday March 7 - International Women's Day (on March 8')
Sunday April 4 - Earth Day (on April 22)
Sunday May 2 - World Press Freedom Day (May 3)
Sunday May 16 - Aboriginal Awareness Week (May 25-31)
Sunday June 6 - Canada Multiculturalism Day (June 27)
The cafés are all located at:
Three Banana's Café, Sir Winston Churchill Square
1:00 - 3:00 pm
